Dr. Benjamin L. Heath

CEO & FOUNDER

Dr. Heath is a native Oregonian. He pursed becoming a chiropractor after regaining his health after suffering an auto accident. He opened his original practice in 2006 and then expanded to our current location in 2009. Currently, he focuses primarily on expansion and implementation of new services in the clinic. Since 2015, he has integrated various medical providers and services to provide a broader range of treatment approaches. He has been married to his wife Corie since 2000 and they have 3 children. He enjoys treating patients, basketball and architecture.

Dr. Jeffrey A. Albing

Dr. Jeff Albing graduated from the University of Western States in Portland, OR in 2011 which is well-known for its rigorous evidence-based curriculum. He believes in an evidence-based approach to healing that facilitates the body’s natural healing processes. The evaluation and treatment of motor vehicle collision injuries are his specialty, but he also enjoys working with athletes. Dr. Jeff has two bachelor’s degrees; cellular and molecular biology and human biology. He utilizes a multi-modal approach which incorporates other specialties when needed such as physical therapy, naturopathy, acupuncture, and medical doctors. Dr. Albing has testified as an expert witness in trial and has been hired by attorneys for arbitrations and chart note reviews. He is very active in all sports; especially ice hockey, soccer, snowboarding, tennis, surfing, and running. Dr. Jeff is also a dual citizen of Sweden and the United States and he is currently learning to speak Spanish.

Dr. May-Lynn Chu

Doctor of Osteopathy

Dr. May-Lynn Chu is a medical provider who specializes in osteopathic medicine and manipulation. She attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA and completed residency in Family Medicine in Milwaukee, WI at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center. Her goal is to provide long last relief by treating the cause of the problem, not symptoms only.

Dr. Chu provides a range of osteopathic manipulation, trigger point and joint injections to help decrease pain, increase motion, and accelerate the healing process. Her specialty care integrates with the team approach at Valleyview Injury + Physical Medicine and she looks forward to helping you.

In her free time she loves spending time with her husband and young son.

Melissa Purrington, LAc

Licensed Acupuncturist

Melissa Purington has been a licensed acupuncturist since 2016. She has a passion for helping people tap into their God given ability to heal themselves. Melissa can help treat disorders like low back pain, headaches, digestive issues, pregnancy related discomforts and more. She is a wife, a mom, and a Sunday school teacher who loves to dance, make greeting cards, and be in nature.

Zachary Nelms, LAc

Licensed Acupuncturist

Within the past 14 years Zachary Nelms has performed thousands of acupuncture and herbal treatments and has over 20 years’ experience in the healing arts in general. Zach has extensive training in several acupuncture styles including Japanese acupuncture, Balance Method, and orthopedic motor point acupuncture. Before starting his career in East Asian Medicine, Zach received formal training in psychology and philosophy, and practiced massage therapy. He has been teaching Tai Chi in a local Portland park for the past eight years. In his down time, Zach can be found chasing two children, gardening, cycling, hiking, and reading.

Barbara

Chiropractic Assistant

Barbara brings extensive clinical experience and utilizes various modalities including deep tissue massage, laser therapy and rehab instruction. She has many varied interests outside of work including photography, being a bed and breakfast host, gourmet cooking and outdoor sports.

Natalie

Licensed Massage Therapist / Chiropractic Assistant

Natalie began at Valleyview Injury + Physical Medicine in May 2017. She received her clinical massage and chiropractic assistant education from University of Western States. Natalie’s specialties include rehabilitative and orthopedic massage, which assist in injury recovery, promote injury prevention, and help to correct postural dysfunction.

I am a Native Oregonian who thoroughly enjoys gardening. As the Office Coordinator for Valleyview, my job is to oversee the daily operations of the office, welcome new patients and go over treatment plans. With over 18 years managerial and administrative experience I am very happy to be working with such a dedicated and amazing team.

I am a native Portlander who loves nature and positive energy. I live with my husband Michael and we have two children, one grandchild and two cats. With over 20 years of experience in healthcare business and administrative services, I am happy to have found my place here with the Valleyview team.

Jeremy

Director of Business Development

Jeremy focuses on the business development and marketing of Valleyview Injury + Physical Medicine. He also serves as a case manager for many of our patients. When not at work, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and dogs, participating in various fitness challenges and coaching his kids in their sports. Marc Morishige

Director of Physical Therapy

Marc Morishige graduated from Pacific University with a degree in Physical Therapy. Since 1990, Marc has provided compassionate care and helped thousands of patients recover from accidents and injury. Marc is married to Heather and they have 2 teenage boys. Marc enjoys powerlifting and watching his sons’ sports endeavors.
